WHAT IS INLUSTRO?
Making you stand out from the crowd...
DRLs give your vehicle the premium look and feel, but to make them legal as an aftermarket accessory, they need to go off or dim when your sidelights or dipped headlamps come on.
The DRLM controller from INLUSTRO makes your DRLs (Day Running Lights) legal by enabling them to dim when your headlamps or sidelamps come on. |
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Features
Our DRLM has many advantages and benefits, including:
•IFS (Ignition feed sensing) for compatibility with and reliability (see note below) •Supports up to 2 x 25 Watt DRLs at 12VDC •Binary relay system for compatibility with auto headlamp sensor systems •CANBUS compatible design •Compact size - 20mm x 25mm x 40mm •Easy fitment - only 5 wires •Complete with full instructions and example wiring diagram A note about competitor/Chinese "voltage drop sensing" products All INLUSTRO units use ignition feed sensing (IFS) rather than voltage drop sensing (VDS). VDS units may be easier to wire up (directly to the battery) but there are some disadvantages you should be aware of: •VDS can accidentally be triggered by stop-start systems, music with deep bass and even a rough idle. •VDS can also be triggered accidentally by car alarms and battery isolation technology. •VDS permanent battery connection means any malfunction within the unit could drain your battery or worse cause a fire. •VDS units are not compatible with CANBUS systems, as the ECU generally regulates voltage according to various sensors etc. •VDS for dimmed DRLs is not road legal in the EU (contravenes the ECE type approval register) Our IFS units are immune to these problems because they are fitted properly, just like the manufacturer would. |
